My Fractured Hand

......Oh No......
My Hand Is fractured.....
This is the first time that I experience the pain of fracture......
Let me narrate you the story...

It was one of the saddest moments that I've ever experienced in my life...That incident took place on 4th August 2008, Monday... Just a day after the Parents' Day...

That day... It was afternoon at around 3:15 p.m i.e., an hour after the lunch... I came out for the Games Parade... because our Hostel Supdt. or Warden chased us out for the parade... I was a bit late... But, before joining the parade I went to the Dhobi for ironing my clothes with my friends, Santo and Milan... From Dhobi, I rushed towards the Roll Call Point as the parade was to be conducted there...

I went towards the Roll Call Point by taking shortcut... I jumped from one of the bricks to another one... In the middle of the road...due to my nervousness, I slipped and fell down on the ground which was half covered with grasses... Due to my sudden reflex action... I suddenly put my left hand on the ground and automatically my hand got struck and I feel a great pain on my hand...

My dresses got muddy... and... and... I just hold my left hand with my right... and sit there for 2 around minutes... Then, my friend Santo helped me till we reached dormitory...

I did some wash and change... and went to our school MI Room... I waited the Compounder to come... for a long time… He came late, very late… Our school doctor came too… I rushed towards the doctor… Then he checked my hand… He prescribed some medicines…And I fixed my left hand with a crepe bandage...

That day, I didn’t know that my left hand got fractured… The next day when our school rechecked my hand then he got suspicious and advised me to go for home treatment.....

The next day, with the application signed by the officers of our school… I got leave… I phoned my parents to pick me up and tell them about the matter... I and my parents took an x-ray of my hand and we consulted a doctor... The found that there were some cracks on my left wrist…and my left hand was to be plastered… We(I and my parents with one of my relatives) went to RIMS for plastering my hand… My left hand was plastered…
Hospital

I wish that the Almighty God is with me… And I still pray and thank to the Almighty God…

"The Even Star" For Christmas And New Year...

I wrote a poem and I have submitted to my English Teacher for our School Magazine for the year 2006-07...

Luckily or unluckily, my poem is published in the School Magazine... So I would like to share my poem to you all...

I share this poem for the "Christmas" and also for the "New Year..."

This poem is dedicated to all my frens (brothers and sisters) and of course my parents and grand parents too... Here goes my poem...

"The Even Star"

Days are over,

The sky has blackened,

Oh! What a beautiful star,

Dancing in the sky, all the night...

You must be very meaningful,

But, I never notice you,

I wonder why,

You are very indolent,

During Daytime;

And very active

At night......

Oh! What a beautiful star,

Dancing in the sky, all the night...

You are a star,

That cannot be changed;

That remains forever,

As the spectacles of many...

Oh! What a beautiful star,

Dancing in the sky, all the night...

"I Was Born To Be A Microsoft User, But This Modern World Made Me A Linux User..." -Demosin Keisham(It's Me)

This is what it happened to me this year...

It is due to the motivation given by the other people to browse linux...

I think it will be a great opportunity to learn linux thoroughly...

I know this linux from before... but I started using now!

This time I missed a workshop.

I'm now helpless.

I know that a solution will come... for my problem.

But I don't know who's is going to help me.

Will my motivators come and help me out or Will my parents come and help me...???

On 5th September, There Will Be Teacher's Day Celebration In All Parts Of The World...

All across the world, Teacher's Day celebrations are undertaken to commemorate the teachers for their efforts. By having celebrations on Teacher's Day we convey the message that we care for our teachers.

Celebrating Teachers Day is recognition of the devotion with which teachers undertake the responsibility of educating a child.

Teacher's Day is one of the occasion on which teachers are praised. On this day, school students dress up like their teachers and attend classes acting like their teachers. As the day passes the students perform the activities that are performed by the teachers. Sometimes the teachers also sit in the classes acting like students, reliving the time when they, themselves, were students. This goes a long way towards creating an understanding between the teachers and their students.

Apart from being the day when we give recognition to our teacher's hard work, this day enables a healthy interaction between students and teachers.

However simple the celebrations may be, they reflect the fact that we care for our teachers. So, we should never forget to celebrate this special day for our teachers.

There are many ways of celebrating Teacher's Day. So, how to celebrate Teachers' Day is to be decided by you.

I will write more tomorrow...

Krishna Janmashtami

Krishna Janmashtami, also known as "Krishnashtami", "Gokulashtami", "Ashtami Rohini", "Srikrishna Jayanti", "Sree Jayanthi" or sometimes merely as "Janmashtami", is a Hindu festival celebrating the birth of Krishna, the eighth avatar (incarnation) of Vishnu.

Date

Krishna Janmashtami is observed on the eighth day of the dark half (Krishna Paksha) of the month of Shraavana in the Hindu calendar, when the Rohini Nakshatram is ascendent. The Hindu calendar being lunar, these two events [the day being the eighth of the waning moon (Krishna-paksha Ashtami) and the Rohini Nakshatram being ascendent] may overlap for only a few hours. In such an event, the festival may be celebrated on different (but successive) days by different people, depending on their local or family traditions.
The festival falls sometime in the months of August/September of the Gregorian calendar. In 2006, Krishnashtami was celebrated on August 15 or August 16.
In 2007, Krishnaashtami will be celebrated on September 4.

Celebrations

The pious begin the festival by fasting on the previous day (Saptami, seventh day). This is followed by a night-long vigil commemorating the birth of Krishna at night, and his immediate removal by his father to a foster-home for safe-keeping. At midnight, the deity of the infant Krishna is bathed, placed in a cradle and worshipped. In the early morning, ladies draw patterns of little children's feet outside the house with rice-flour paste, walking towards the house. This symbolizes the entry of the infant Krishna into his foster-home. This custom is popular in some communities of South India. After ablutions, morning prayers and worship, the devout break their fast with Prasadam, food that has first been offered to God. During the fore-noon hours, the "Dahi-Handi" (see below) custom is celebrated in some parts of the deccan. This is followed by sumptuous mid-day feasts, where extended families customarily get together. Sweets made of milk and other dairy products, especially butter, are traditionally prepared on this occasion.
The festival is celebrated differently in North India. The temples at Vrindavan and Mathura witness a colourful, even boisterous celebration on this occasion, and festivities at these places may extend for several days. Devotional songs and dances mark the celebration. The Rasa Lila is performed to recreate incidents from the life of Krishna and commemorate his love for Radha.
Care is taken among certain circles not to imitate the Rasa Lila in a mundane way. It is said that one should not imitate the Rasa Lila even in dreams. The idea is that Krishna, or God's pastimes cannot be understood by the mundane mind-set and discussing them should therefore be avoided altogether. Krishna's pastimes with Srimati Radha can never be understood by materialistic people, they are transcendental and great care should be taken to present them in such manner.
While the Rasa Lila recreates the youthful Krishna's dalliance with the milkmaids of his native land, the "Dahi-Handi" tradition of Maharashtra re-enacts his childhood pranks, wherein Krishna and his young friends helped themselves to butter and other goodies in the houses of their neighbours. Clay pots called "Dahi-Handi", filled with curd and butter, are suspended high above the ground. To a constant chorus of "Govinda, Govinda" from all those present, teams of young men form human pyramids to reach the pot and break it, to the merriment of the youths and of the assembly.
The festival is thus celebrated with great joy and communal togetherness by one and all.

Dahi Handi ( Human Towers ) Celebrations in Maharashtra

In Mumbai and Pune, Janmaashtami, popularly known here as Dahi Handi is celebrated with enormous zeal and enthusiasm. Various Handis are set up locally in almost every nook and corner of the city, and groups of youngsters, called Govinda Pathaks (English: Troupes of Lord Krishna) travel around in trucks trying to break as many handis as possible during the day. Many such Govinda Pathaks compete with each other, especially for the handis that dole out hefty rewards. The event, in recent times, has gathered a political flavor, and it is not uncommon for political parties, and rich community groups to offer prizes amounting to lakhs of rupees. Some of the most famous handis are at Dadar, Mazgaon, Lalbaug and some in Thane a neighboring district of Mumbai and Babu Genu, Mandai in Pune.
